Born and raised in Birmingham, Lucia Plosser Tabb loves calling this community home. She graduated from Mountain Brook High School, earned her bachelor’s degree from Davidson College, and later completed a master’s degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Following graduate school, Lucia began her career in education, teaching high school history and coaching varsity girls’ soccer at Woodward Academy in Atlanta. After she and her husband, Ashley, returned to Birmingham, she stepped away from the classroom to raise their three boys. When the time was right, Lucia transitioned her teaching and coaching skills into a career in real estate.
Since joining Ray & Poynor, Lucia has successfully guided clients through every stage of the buying and selling process—from first-time buyers and families relocating to Birmingham to longtime residents downsizing from their family homes. She is known for her personal approach, tailoring her services to meet each client’s unique needs. With a lifelong love of Birmingham and a keen eye for design and architecture, influenced by her father and sister who are both architects, Lucia brings insight, dedication, and care to every transaction.
Lucia is actively involved in the community. She is a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, serves on the board of the Birmingham United Soccer Association, and is a member of the Linly Heflin Unit. Her volunteer work has included the Junior League of Birmingham, Symphony 30, the McWane Center, the Children’s Arts Guild, and the Junior Women’s Committee of 100.
Outside of real estate, Lucia enjoys weekends on the soccer fields with her boys, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends at Lake Martin.
